Paddington’s Educare Center was founded in 1998 and has since expanded (in 2011) to include Glen Austin Primary. Paddington’s founder, Candice Gilford, felt that there was a definite need for an affordably priced independent school in Glen Austin, Midrand which offers quality education and is aimed at the middle income group.

As a family-owned school we encourage good manners, as well as firm discipline, and aim to instill traditional family values in each child. We accept learners from all population groups and all religious affiliations.

At Paddington’s Educare Center and Glen Austin Primary (GAP) we strive to provide a safe and caring environment for our children. We offer small classes with individual attention, within a large country environment boasting a large play area, with the aim to ensure an excellent foundation for your child.

We are an independent school in Midrand that caters for children from 12 months to Grade R under Paddington’s, and Foundation Phase Learning from Grade 1 to 3, Intermediate Phase Learning from Grade 4 to 6, and Senior Phase (Grade 7) under GAP, following the basic principles of the prescribed GDE CAPS Curriculum, which we have enhanced and expanded on in order to give our students opportunities to achieve to their full potential.
